Making a Will is a fairly straightforward procedure and can be completed in a relatively short time frame. We write our Wills in modern, clear and accessible English. If more complex clauses are required, we will explain these to you clearly.
When a person dies, someone must deal with their estate. We can calculate any inheritance tax due, deal with the encashment or transfer of assets, payment of liabilities and advise on funeral expenses. We can provide you with as much or as little assistance as you wish. There may be some aspects of the estate you can deal with yourself and some that you would like some help with, or you may simply prefer us to handle everything for you.
A Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document, which allows you to appoint people to make decisions and manage your affairs for you in the future, should you become incapable of doing so.
Our charging rates are very competitive. We are able to quote a fixed fee for Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorneys, and offer a discount for couples making them together, or for anyone making both at the same time. Our Probate charges are in accordance with the Law Society Best Practice. All other work undertaken by this department is simply charged at a fixed hourly rate.
